Elementary school Sračinec is attended by 538 students in 29 classes. The school employs 45 teachers, 2 professional associates and 13 members of the administrative and technical staff.
Our students can participate in a number of extracurricular activities that guide them towards new experiences and learning in a more relaxed environment. Some of the extracurricular activities are: creative workshops, robotics, modern and traditional dance, music workshops, drama group, first aid, English reading club, intercultural group, music choir, eco-creative section, chess, hiking, historical and ethnographic group, household, etc.
Within the Sračinec Primary School, there is also the School Library, which was completely renovated in 2010. The library has a fund of 2,600 books, of which about 2,000 are student literature and 600 are professional literature.
In the yard of the Elementary School Sračinec, there is a Garden of Health and Beauty, in which primarily flowers, plants and medicinal herbs are grown. By getting to know plants in the garden and agriculture, our students adopt a positive attitude towards nature, environmental protection and health. Also, the once unused space within the school is now used for teaching outside the classroom. Our Garden of Health and Beauty won third place with Croatian national broadcaster's project The Most Beautiful School Gardens.
The journalist group also edits the electronic school newspaper Duga (Rainbow), which publishes news related to the school and students. According to the editor-in-chief, the purpose of this magazine is to show ourselves and others there are potentials in our young generations and how we can make the world a better place with positive attitudes.
